SUMMARY
Makes sure various departments are supplied with all materials needed. Operates material handling equipment (forklift, hand trucks, etc.) in the movement of material throughout the plant. Assist with timely shipment of product and the recording/verifying of outgoing shipments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Make sure wire is at the machines:
A) Payoffs are filled with wire at all running machines at all times
B) All wire storage squares are filled with, current job, or next scheduled job
-Set up cart is at the coiler before the set up starts, with the following
A) All tooling (cassette, feed rolls, die kit, die holder)
B) Any catcher needed
C) Any gages needed
D) All paper work needed, including coil book
-Make sure all packing materials are at the coil / oven
A) Boxes / Crates
B) Labels and bags
C) Proper Foil size
D) Oil atomizers are charged and at the ovens
E) Any skids, pans, tubs, angle irons, etc.
Understands the importance of these primary responsibilities to ensure the coiling department will operate at the highest level of efficiency.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the packaging of parts at the end of the ovens.
Prepare and move all packaging as needed for completed and work in process parts for various departments and move the finish goods to the staging area.
Verify all identification on "finish goods" and "work in process" product id labels and movement cards for accuracy.
Move "work in process" parts to next operation area as needed by various departments.
Will be required to follow standard operation procedures.
Assists in posting weight and shipping charges and/or prepares bills of lading.
Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers and inserts items into containers
Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to departments.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Pay: $20.62 per hour
