Full Job Description

JMS of Holland, Inc. is looking for dependable, motivated individual to join our manufacturing team as Production Support / Press Operator for multiple shifts.

This position offers the opportunity to learn multiple manufacturing processes through cross-training in both Press Operations and Assembly.

Position Summary

The Press Operator is responsible for operating metal stamping presses and supporting production to ensure quality products are manufactured safely and efficiently. This position also includes cross-training in our Assembly Department, allowing employees to assist with assembly operations as production needs require.

Success in this role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Operate metal stamping presses to produce quality parts according to specifications.
Load raw materials and remove finished parts from production equipment.
Operate a forklift to safely transport materials, finished products, and production containers throughout the facility.
Monitor production to ensure quality and efficient machine operation.
Perform basic machine maintenance, including maintaining coolant and oil levels.
Change coils and assist with job changeovers.
Cross-train and perform assembly duties as needed.
Inspect parts and report quality concerns or equipment issues to the Production Supervisor.
Keep workstations, presses, production containers, and job carts clean and organized.
Empty scrap containers and assist with general housekeeping throughout the production area.
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn manufacturing processes.
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Experience operating manufacturing equipment, reading blueprints, or using measuring equipment is a plus.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work safely around moving machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
