Creative Dining Services is seeking a Service Manager – FOH to lead front-of-house dining and service operations at Royal Park Place, a full-service senior living community in Zeeland, Michigan.
This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who enjoys developing employees, building meaningful relationships with residents, and creating a warm, welcoming dining experience. This is a key leadership position within a two-person dining services management team. Working closely with the Foodservice Director, the Production Manager helps lead the day-to-day back-of-house operation, supports kitchen staff, maintains strong culinary and food safety standards, and helps ensure residents, guests, clients, and team members receive excellent service.
The successful candidate will be a visible, hands-on leader who understands that an exceptional dining experience depends on attentive service, consistent standards, strong teamwork, and genuine care for the people we serve.

Lead, train, coach, and develop FOH dining and service team members

Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, timekeeping, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions for FOH staff

Supervise and coordinate daily service activities under the direction of the Dining Services Director

Maintain high standards for hospitality, food presentation, cleanliness, sanitation, and overall service

Create a welcoming and positive dining environment for residents and guests

Build strong working relationships with residents, guests, client representatives, employees, vendors, and community partners

Communicate menu offerings in an attractive and effective manner, including information related to special dietary needs

Partner with culinary leadership to ensure smooth communication and coordination between FOH and BOH operations

Participate in Food Committee and resident dining meetings

Respond to resident and guest feedback and identify opportunities to continually improve the dining experience

Support special events, holiday programming, corporate marketing initiatives, and other resident-engagement activities

Maintain appropriate levels of service supplies, decorations, and FOH operating materials

Ensure service equipment is properly maintained and dining, service, and office areas remain safe, sanitary, organized, and welcoming

Maintain accurate records and operational documentation

Review service operations and recommend improvements to the Dining Services Director

Assist with other areas of the dining services operation as needed

At least three years of management or leadership experience in food service, hospitality, restaurant operations, senior living, or a related environment

Senior Living Experience is Highly Valued

Experience supervising, scheduling, training, and developing a service team

A strong hospitality mindset and commitment to resident and guest satisfaction

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

The ability to remain organized, professional, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment

A positive, hands-on leadership style and willingness to support the team wherever needed

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain certification

Experience leading a team of 20 or more employees preferred

A degree in hospitality or a related field preferred, but not required
The Service Manager – FOH position includes both administrative responsibilities and active involvement in dining service operations. The role may involve standing for extended periods, working around commercial food service equipment, moving supplies, carts, tables, or other materials, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
The work environment may include hot, humid, or cold temperatures. This position requires a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed to support dining operations, special events, and resident programs.
