Operations Manager

Position Summary

Uncommon Clean LLC is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning teams. This individual will be responsible for opening the office each morning, managing employees throughout the day, ensuring schedules run efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with closing the office as needed. This position plays a key leadership role in keeping the company operating smoothly and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Schedule

Typical start time: 7:00 a.m.
Some days will require closing the office.
Schedule may vary depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

Open the office each morning and prepare for the day’s operations.
Close the office when scheduled.
Supervise and manage all cleaning staff throughout the day.
Ensure crews leave on time with the proper supplies and equipment.
Assign daily routes and make schedule adjustments as needed.
Communicate with employees regarding schedule changes, customer requests, and company expectations.
Handle employee questions, attendance, and day-to-day issues.
Perform quality control checks and address any service concerns.
Monitor inventory and ensure supplies are stocked.
Coordinate with customers regarding scheduling or service concerns.
Assist in filling open positions on the schedule when staffing shortages occur.
Maintain a positive, professional work environment and hold employees accountable to company standards.
Support the owner in the overall daily operations of the business.

Qualifications

Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Proficient with basic computer and phone applications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Duties

Manage all aspects of store operations, including inventory control, merchandising, purchasing, and cash handling to ensure smooth daily functioning.
Lead and supervise sales teams by providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer service standards.
Oversee employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a motivated and skilled workforce.
Implement effective scheduling and shift management strategies to meet sales targets while maintaining operational efficiency.
Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting; ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing.
Conduct regular store inspections to uphold safety standards, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies.
Develop marketing initiatives and promotional strategies to boost sales and enhance store visibility within the community.

Skills

Proven management experience within the retail industry with strong leadership capabilities in supervising teams.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
Proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management tools such as POS systems.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases effectively.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently using time management techniques.
Knowledge of retail math including basic math skills necessary for cash handling, budgeting, and sales analysis.
Experience in retail sales management including customer service excellence, merchandising, stock control, and marketing strategies.
Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus; experience in cashiering or cashier training is beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to handle administrative responsibilities such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and record keeping accurately.
