Duties & Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Director of Growth supports the Chief Growth Officer in advancing Bellevue’s growth strategy, strategic priorities, service line development, partnerships, institutional advancement, and organizational improvement efforts. The position works across clinical, operational, financial, administrative, and external teams to help coordinate projects, monitor progress, prepare materials, support planning efforts, and assist with execution of key institutional initiatives.

The Assistant Director of Growth supports work related to patient access, ambulatory growth, service line planning, referral pathways, Bellevue 2030 priorities, partnerships, staffing and productivity assessments, and selected projects assigned by the Chief Growth Officer. The role helps turn priorities into workplans, timelines, reports, briefings, dashboards, and follow up actions.

Leadership and Executive Support

Support the Chief Growth Officer in advancing Bellevue’s growth strategy and related institutional priorities.
Help coordinate cross functional initiatives that require partnership across clinical, operational, administrative, financial, system, and external stakeholders.
Prepare briefings, reports, presentations, talking points, meeting materials, and follow up documents for the Chief Growth Officer.
Track assignments, next steps, deadlines, and deliverables related to growth, strategy, partnerships, service line development, and special projects.

Growth, Strategy, and Service Development

Support planning and execution of Bellevue’s growth strategy in coordination with the Chief Growth Officer and hospital leadership.
Assist with projects related to Bellevue 2030 priorities, including patient access, ambulatory growth, service line development, institutional visibility, partnerships, fundraising, patient experience, and long-term sustainability.
Support planning and coordination for major Bellevue 2030 growth priorities, including the Heart, Cancer, and Neuroscience Institutes, in partnership with clinical, operational, financial, and system leadership.
Assist with growth planning for priority service lines and institutional initiatives, and areas identified by the Chief Growth Officer.
Assist with business plans, service line plans, executive presentations, decision memos, implementation plans, and other planning documents for priority growth initiatives.
Help track selected strategic projects assigned by the Chief Growth Officer.

Performance and Project Management

Support efforts related to patient access, throughput, capacity planning, clinic utilization, patient experience, and organizational performance.
Assist with data collection, reporting, benchmarking, and analysis to inform planning and decision making.
Help identify and track barriers to growth and execution, including access constraints, referral leakage, staffing model challenges, scheduling issues, space limitations, communications gaps, and external relationship needs.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Science, Hospital Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine in Public Health or a related discipline; and,

2. Two (2) years of planning, design and program development experience pertaining to the operation of a major segment or all of a hospital or health care setting including substantial exposure in meeting community health needs, health care planning, design and program implementation functions; one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible level administrative, supervisory or managerial experience in coordinating health care planning, design, development or public policy programs; or,

3. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Hospital Administration, Social Sciences, Management, Health Care Administration or a related discipline; and,

4. Three (3) years of experience as described in “2” above; two (2) years of which must have been in a responsible level of administrative, supervisory or managerial experience in coordinating health care planning, design, development and public policy programs.
