Full Job Description

Audit Senior or Manager

The opportunity

Join Freedman & Goldberg, CPAs, an established Farmington Hills firm, serving clients for more than 35 years. We are seeking an audit and quality control senior or manager with recent regional CPA firm experience to lead assurance engagements, strengthen quality, and serve as a trusted client advisor. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

What you’ll do

Lead multiple audit, review, and compilation engagements across a variety of clients.
Develop audit strategies, manage budgets, and oversee engagements from planning through completion.
Plan, execute, and manage financial statement and 401(k) audits for private equity clients.
Provide assurance and consulting services, offering practical solutions to complex issues.
Resolve accounting, auditing, and other issues that arise during the audit process.
Perform effective risk and control assessments and analyses.
Build deep client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and become a trusted advisor.
Manage the firm’s peer review process.

What you bring

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
Active CPA license and at least five years of relevant audit experience.
In-depth knowledge of auditing and control practices, methodologies, regulations, and industry trends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership, staff development, and management capabilities.
Ability to balance competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Microsoft Office proficiency; Accounting CS, UltraTax CS, and QuickBooks experience is a plus.
Basic understanding of business and individual taxation.
