Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Store Manager to lead our Koreatown team at rōk Coffee & Tea, a modern café known for its innovative and high-quality matcha drinks and cream-topped lattes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in food service management, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is enthusiastic about delivering an elevated guest experience centered around premium tea and coffee.

As a leader in our café, you’ll be entrusted with managing day-to-day operations, coaching staff, and upholding our aesthetic, service standards, and product quality—all while bringing out the best in your team.

Duties

Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth service and superior customer satisfaction.
Maintain and track inventory, place orders, and manage stock levels to meet demand without waste.
Hire, train, and lead staff to deliver elevated service in line with the rōk brand and hospitality ethos.
Supervise baristas and shift leads, ensuring consistent quality in matcha preparation, espresso drinks, and other menu items.
Operate and train staff on Toast POS for efficient and accurate transactions.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols.
Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to maintain drink quality and presentation, particularly our signature matcha duos.
Manage labor schedules, payroll hours, and shift coverage.
Monitor budgets, labor costs, and P&L performance to ensure operational efficiency.
Create a positive work environment that fosters staff development, accountability, and engagement.

Qualifications

Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong background in food service management with knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
Experience with inventory control, cash and card payment handling, and budgeting is essential.
Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and staff training & development.
Familiarity with quick service & fast food restaurant operations is preferred; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
Previous experience as an assistant manager or supervisor in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
Culinary experience or barista experience is highly desirable; knowledge of coffee preparation is a must.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
