Full Job Description

Precision drafting is the backbone of good survey work, and we are hiring a Land Survey CAD Technician who takes pride in getting every line, label, and boundary exactly right. If you know your way around AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey and you enjoy turning raw field data into clean, accurate deliverables, we want to hear from you.

We are a growing South Florida land surveying firm with a steady pipeline of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction projects. We move quickly and our clients count on us, so dependability and attention to detail matter here as much as technical skill.

What you'll do:

Draft survey plats, topographic maps, boundary surveys, and construction staking plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey.
Process and manage survey field data, including GPS and total station files.
Interpret field notes, deeds, legal descriptions, and subdivision plats, and reflect them accurately in your drawings.
Prepare boundary analysis, easement descriptions, and parcel exhibits.
Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with client specifications and applicable standards.
Coordinate with surveyors, project managers, and field crews to keep projects on schedule.
Keep files organized and data clean across every project.

What you bring

Must-haves:

1+ years drafting for land surveying or a closely related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey.
Working knowledge of coordinate geometry (COGO), control points, and data reduction.
A sharp eye for detail and the habit of checking your own work.
Reliable, organized, and comfortable running several projects on tight deadlines.

A plus:

Associate's degree in Surveying, Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field (equivalent hands-on experience is welcome in its place).
Experience with MicroStation, GIS software, or ALTA/NSPS surveys.
Familiarity with South Florida local codes and platting requirements.
