Full Job Description

Manager, Player Operations

The Manager, Player Operations provides administrative support and facilitates all logistical needs of the coaches, players, and families of Miami FC. This position plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the team and requires regular domestic travel, as well as the ability to maintain a flexible schedule in line with a professional sports environment, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities Include:

Serve as the team liaison for USL player registration and related contacts.
Be present for all team training sessions.
Coordinate the welcoming, relocation, and onboarding process for new players and their families.
Create and manage travel itineraries for all road trips.
Assist the General Manager with creating and managing team kit supplier orders.
Manage team logistics, including bus and air travel planning and coordination for all away matches.
Manage relationships with away-team hotels, including room bookings, rooming lists, team meals, and coordination of team meal and meeting schedules with hotel staff.
Travel on all away trips with the team.
Manage payroll, including bonuses and housing payments for players and technical staff.
Assist in the creation of player contracts in conjunction with the Sporting Director.
Register all players with the appropriate governing bodies for the USL season and U.S. Open Cup matches.
Update the Player Handbook annually in conjunction with legal counsel.
Manage player housing, including leases, utilities, roommates, and other related needs, while coordinating and overseeing player move-ins and move-outs.
Develop and maintain a database of contacts, networks, and vendors to support player needs.
Be present for all home matches and assist with matchday operations while serving as the Home Team Liaison.
Serve as a direct source of communication with players regarding day-to-day matters.
Ensure compliance with USL and Miami FC protocols, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional sports environment.
Experience coordinating travel, accommodations, logistics, and schedules.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with players, staff, vendors, hotels, and league contacts.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Previous experience in professional sports, team operations, player services, or a related field is preferred.
