Manufacturing Purchasing & Inventory Specialist (Bilingual Spanish/English)

Miami, FL

$58,000 – $64,000 per year (DOE)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Manufacturing Purchasing & Inventory Experience Required

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Purchasing & Inventory Specialist to support a fast-paced industrial manufacturing operation in Miami.

This position is ideal for a professional who understands both purchasing and inventory management within a production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing inventory levels, maintaining vendor relationships, preventing production shortages, and ensuring manufacturing operations have the materials needed to meet production schedules.

IMPORTANT:

This is not a general office purchasing position.

Candidates must have experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, machining, assembly, industrial production, or similar environments.

Experience limited to retail purchasing, hospitality, restaurant management, healthcare purchasing, construction office procurement, or administrative purchasing environments will not be considered.

Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Procurement

Source and purchase materials, components, and supplies required for manufacturing operations
Manage purchase orders, pricing, vendor communications, and lead times
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing solutions
Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules
Coordinate purchasing activities to support production requirements

Inventory Management & Material Control

Maintain accurate inventory levels for production materials and components
Establish and monitor reorder points and inventory thresholds
Track material usage and availability to prevent production disruptions
Coordinate inventory replenishment activities
Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP systems

Manufacturing Coordination

Work closely with production, warehouse, operations, engineering, and accounting teams
Support manufacturing departments including CNC machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and industrial production operations
Ensure materials are available to support production schedules
Assist with planning and prioritization of material requirements
Coordinate internally manufactured items and inventory availability

ERP & Reporting

Process purchasing and inventory transactions within ERP systems
Generate purchasing, inventory, and material usage reports
Maintain accurate supplier, inventory, and purchasing records
Utilize Excel for reporting, inventory analysis, and tracking
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing and inventory processes

Required Qualifications

3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment
3+ years of inventory management experience supporting manufacturing operations
Experience purchasing industrial materials, mechanical components, raw materials, or production supplies
Strong inventory control and material planning experience
Experience maintaining inventory levels, reorder points, and material availability
ERP or MRP system experience required
Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
