Mason Tender Laborer Position Overview:
Lawn Brothers Landscaping is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Mason to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves building patios, walkways, retaining walls, pools, and other hardscape structures using stone, brick, and concrete. The ideal candidate has a strong background in masonry, attention to detail, and the ability to follow project plans under the direction of a Site Foreman or Project Manager.

Mason Tender Laborer Key Responsibilities:
- Construct patios, retaining walls, walkways, pools, and other structures using stone, brick, or concrete block
- Cut, saw, and shape materials to fit project requirements
- Mix and apply mortar or grout; set and align bricks or stones with precision
- Measure and inspect work to ensure proper structure, form, and finish
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Foremen, and clients to execute project specifications
- Use tools such as trowels, floats, straightedges, brooms, shovels, and rakes to level and finish surfaces
- Build forms and apply sealants or waterproofing compounds as needed
- Perform surface repairs and restoration when necessary
- Clean and maintain tools and worksite daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
Mason Tender Laborer Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in masonry or hardscape construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Solid understanding of concrete characteristics and curing requirements
- Strong math and geometry skills
- Familiarity with form-building and finishing techniques
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Valid driver’s license and ability to commute reliably each day
- Experience working in all weather conditions
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical or vocational training in masonry or construction is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, and bend for extended periods
- Comfortable working in noisy environments and outdoor conditions year-round
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
