Full Job Description

Position Title: Program Control Analyst

Location: Remote (U.S. – Eastern Time preferred)

Assignment Type: Temporary (3-Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire)

Compensation: $45.00–$55.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Benefits: This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

Job Description:

Our client is seeking two experienced Program Control Analysts to support a rapidly growing finance organization within a government contracting environment. These positions will play a key role in financial planning, program controls, budgeting, forecasting, and contract performance analysis while partnering closely with program management and executive leadership.

Responsibilities include:

Support financial planning and analysis activities through budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and program performance monitoring
Develop and maintain program budgets, Estimates at Completion (EACs), forecasts, and financial reports
Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for differences between actual and forecasted results
Monitor contract funding, expenditures, commitments, and overall financial performance
Present financial results and recommendations to business and operational leadership
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles
Partner with Program Managers, Contracts, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Prepare dashboards, executive reports, and ad hoc financial analyses
Assist with customer audits, internal audits, and government reporting requirements
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency

Program Controls Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain project cost control structures
Monitor project costs, schedules, and financial performance
Support Earned Value Management (EVM) activities, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), budget baselines, Estimates to Complete (ETCs), Estimates at Completion (EACs), and cost performance reporting
Support project setup and ongoing contract financial administration

Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 years of Program Controls, FP&A, or related financial analysis experience (7+ years preferred)
Government contracting experience required
Strong hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint
Experience supporting Cost Plus, Fixed Price, and Time & Materials contracts preferred
Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience presenting financial information to business leadership
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment
Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple functional teams
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must obtain and maintain government security clearance
