Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Barback and Busser(Bussboy or Bussgirl), where your energy and attention to detail will keep our venue running smoothly and our guests delighted. In this vital role, you will support bartenders and service staff by maintaining cleanliness, managing supplies, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. Your proactive approach will help create memorable experiences for our patrons while fostering a vibrant, efficient atmosphere behind the scenes. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within the hospitality industry, utilizing your food service experience and passion for customer service.

Duties

Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, glassware, and garnishes to ensure seamless beverage service
Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including bar cleaning, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing equipment in compliance with food service bar safety standards
Buss tables and clear empty dishes promptly to uphold a tidy dining environment
Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, stock movement, and equipment setup with proper safety procedures
Support food preparation and kitchen staff as needed, including basic food handling and ensuring proper food industry hygiene practices
Operate POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling, order processing, and billing accuracy
Assist with venue beverage service during events or busy hours, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Follow all food service bar safety compliance protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and guests
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting
Support banquet and catering setups by preparing serving stations and assisting with event logistics

Skills

Proven experience in food service, bar experience, or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of hospitality standards
Knowledge of venue beverage service, food handling procedures, and safety regulations within the food industry
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS for cashiering and order management
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a busy setting
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with team members and guests
Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory counts
Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus; familiarity with food preparation is beneficial
Strong work ethic with attention to detail in cleaning, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness standards
Knowledge of food service bar safety compliance protocols to ensure a safe environment for all
Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred; <PERSON> experience is advantageous but not required
