About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build practical, high-impact software solutions that directly support business operations. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, internal stakeholders, and operational teams to learn real-world workflows and translate them into well-designed, production-ready applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to grow their full-stack skills and gain hands-on experience across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases. You’ll receive mentorship from senior engineers while contributing to systems that make an immediate impact on the business.
The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and excited to learn modern development practices, including AI-assisted tools and automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Full Stack Application Development
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining full stack web applications, including frontend components, backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Write clean, well-structured code using modern web development frameworks and tools.
- Help ensure applications are reliable, secure, and function well across browsers and devices.
- Learn and apply backend fundamentals such as API design, data modeling, and system integration.
Product Development & Ownership
- Contribute to features and systems from initial concept through deployment.
- Collaborate with business users to refine requirements and improve usability.
- Learn how software solutions drive operational efficiency and business value.
- Forward Deployed Engineering Support
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and operational teams to understand real-world workflows and business needs.
- Partner with senior engineers to help design and implement software solutions that solve practical operational challenges.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles to improve systems over time.
Learning, Mentorship & Best Practices
- Learn from senior and lead engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
- Follow established development best practices for testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Grow your understanding of maintainable, scalable software design.
- AI-Enabled Development & Automation
- Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding and automation tools, to improve productivity.
- Help identify simple automation opportunities that improve internal workflows.
System Support & Maintenance
- Assist with monitoring application behavior and troubleshooting issues.
- Help maintain basic system documentation and deployment processes.
Qualifications
Experience
- 0–2 years of professional experience or equivalent experience through internships, apprenticeships, bootcamps, or academic projects.
- Exposure to building full stack applications or meaningful coursework/projects demonstrating full stack concepts.
- Interest in working closely with business teams and learning how software supports operations.
Technical Skills
- Basic experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with at least one backend language or framework (such as Java, Spring, or similar).
- Introductory experience with RESTful APIs.
- Basic understanding of SQL databases and data concepts.
- Willingness to learn modern development workflows, tools, and best practices.

- Curiosity about how software systems interact with real business processes.
- Eagerness to learn how to translate user needs into technical solutions.
- Interest in automation and improving workflows through technology.
Communication & Collaboration
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, on-site environment.
- Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must currently reside in Hawai‘i.
- Enthusiasm for learning, growing your technical skills, and contributing to real-world systems that support daily business operations.
