Full Job Description

Aloha Nursing Rehab Centre is a long-term care facility in Kaneohe that operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We offer diverse opportunities for those interested in using their skills and experience to serve our residents and to make a difference in the lives of others by providing compassionate, quality care.

Join our Therapeutic Recreation team and become an active part in implementing fun and innovative activities for our residents and gain experience in making a difference in the lives of others. Responsible for providing a program of therapeutic recreation designed to enhance the residents' physical and mental capabilities, socialization skills and self-esteem in coordination with and as directed by the Activities Manager. Such programs are designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident and may take place in a group or individual setting. Offers positive encouragement for resident participation in recreation programs and special events while offering evaluation and suggestions of improvements or changes. This is a union position.

Available Positions:

Full-time position- 40 hours/5 days per week (Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8 am to 4:30 pm)

CPR/BLS certification required
High school diploma or equivalent
Enthusiastic and energetic personality
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Compassion and a want to work with the elderly
Ability to self-manage, and willingness to take initiative
Excellent communication & documentation skills
Experience a plus, but training available
CNA Certification preferred

Must meet the basic health requirements including 2 step TB skin test or chest x-ray.
