Help keep the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM) looking its best for our visitors. Outdoor duties include maintaining 40 acres of yard space with mowing, weeding, irrigation, snow removal, and assorted other landscaping needs for general curb appeal. Indoor duties include general building maintenance in addition to cleaning, plumbing repair, and the physical upkeep of the display areas. Get WAAAM ready for events by erecting large canopy tents, positioning temporary electrical supplies, adjusting the readerboard, and setting up tables and chairs.
Part-Time to Start (3 days a week, up to 8 hours per day), Full-Time by Fall 2026 (5 days a week, 8 hours per day), Monday through Friday with occasional event weekends too.
Personal and Professional Requirements:
· Strong mechanical ability.
· Perform physical duties outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
· Ability to maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
· Assess and adjust irrigation systems to ensure all systems are in proper working condition.
· Ability to use heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and floor washing machines.
· Safely operate power tools and equipment.
· Familiarity with tractors and mowers operation and maintenance.
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
· Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including heavy lifting.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· High school diploma or GED.
· A love of history is a plus.
