Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Machine Operator (FMS) - Weekend Shift to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00- $29.76 per hour; 11.12% shift premium per hour.
The core hours are Friday- Sunday, 6:00 AM- 6:00 PM.

The FMS (Machine) Operator will assume responsibility for processing sheet metal orders by integrated punch/laser/shear equipment, and bending (press brake) operations. Perform fabrication work on a repetitive and/or non-repetitive basis.
- Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions.
- Set up and operate: press brakes, Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) shear, numerical controlled turret press to cut with right angle shear, computer for nesting / batching of parts, as well as create and modify programs. Punch and form metal to specifications for filling job orders. Determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
- Verifies job quality in each step of fabrication process by measuring dimensions, tolerances, pattern sequence and necessary calculations for machine adjustments. As required, dial in programs manually or edit existing programs. Provide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators/operators in performance of their duties as required.
- Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on work surface. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion.
- Complete necessary preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components. Activates equipment, prepare set-up parameters and direct lower-coded personnel in operation.
- Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers. Documentation / record keeping may be required.
- Operate spot welding machine, power grinder, power sanders, hand-tools, band saw, drills, temporary fixturing devices, jigs and fixtures, and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed. Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems.
- Maintenance of equipment such as condition of tooling, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary. Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problems.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion; keeping oil deposits off of floor. Depose of trash and scrap. Observe all health/hygiene and safety policies as directed and specified
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) from an accredited institution
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year Machine Operator experience (preferably FMS)
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area (50 miles) will be considered for this position

Position Criteria:
- Previous experience using precision-measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, micrometers, etc. Hand tools will be utilized such as screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, drills, grinders, portable band saws, files, power hand tools, drill presses, air-driven hand tools, etc
- Previous experience reading drawings and/or blueprints.
- Previous experience with general operation and troubleshooting of the equipment.
- DMM experience
- Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules.
