Job Title: Brand & Creative Specialist (Part-time)

Reporting to: Marketing Manager

Hours per week: 10 hours/week (flexible)

Position Summary

The Brand & Creative Specialist serves as the steward of The Bond Between's visual identity. This position leads the development of high-quality creative assets that support fundraising, marketing, events, community engagement, and organizational communications while ensuring consistent branding across every department. The Brand & Creative Specialist will also, as needed, coordinate outside designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, and creative volunteers, serving as the central hub for all creative projects across the organization. Strong design builds trust. Every annual report, sponsorship deck, event invitation, fundraising appeal, website graphic, and social media post tells our community who we are before they

read a single word. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on design work and creative collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Brand Leadership

● Execute The Bond Between’s visual identity.

● Maintain and evolve brand standards.

● Ensure consistent branding across all organizational materials.

● Organize and maintain digital brand assets and creative files.

2. Fundraising & Development

● Design creative materials that inspire philanthropy, including projects

such as our annual report, sponsorship materials, direct mailers, one

pagers and any other items that Development would like to share with

donors.

3. Events

● Execute creative design and branding for major organizational events,

under the direction of the marketing department—including but not

limited to the annual Gala, 5K, adoption drives, and community

outreach—delivering high-impact collateral across print, digital, and

environmental touchpoints (invitations, signage, auction materials,

presentation decks, and merchandise).

4. Marketing & Communications

● Work with the marketing team to design and execute high-performing

multi-channel campaign creative, producing a wide array of digital

assets (website graphics, email visuals, social media, and ads, etc.)

alongside print collateral, infographics, and educational materials.

5. Organizational Design

● Under direction of the marketing department, develop high-impact

executive and strategic deliverables—such as but not limited to

strategic planning documents, and program overviews—translating

complex organizational goals into polished communications and visual

infographics.

6. Creative Project Management

● Direct end-to-end creative project management, serving as the central

point of contact for departmental design requests while overseeing

production schedules, project prioritization, and vendor relationships.

7. Creative Collective

● Recruit and coordinate The Bond Between's Creative Collective—a

network of volunteer creative professionals.

● Recruit volunteer designers, photographers, videographers,

illustrators, copywriters, and creative professionals

● Match projects with volunteer expertise

● Provide creative direction

● Review work for quality and brand consistency

● Build long-term relationships with Minnesota's creative

community

Qualifications

● 3+ years of graphic design, brand management, or creative leadership

experience

● Strong portfolio demonstrating print and digital design

● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

● Experience with Canva Pro and presentation design

● Strong understanding of branding and visual storytelling

● Excellent project management and organizational skills

● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills

● Passion for nonprofit work and animal welfare is highly valued

Photography, illustration, motion graphics, or video experience is a plus but not required.
