Full Job Description

Purpose of role

This is an office position responsible for administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This is a part-time position, approximately 20-25 hours per week.

· Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS database

· Process new hire, employee change, and termination documentation

· Ensure personnel files are organized and compliant with company and legal requirements

· Maintain up to date job descriptions for all roles within the organization

· Support open enrollment activities and benefits communications

· Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and financial information

· Provide administrative support for employee engagement programs

· Assist with self-audits including employee file audits, I-9 audits and annual 401K and payroll audits

· Other administrative and human resources duties as assigned

Candidate requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Previous administrative, office support, customer service or human resources experience preferred

· Thorough understanding of maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive documents and information

· Data entry skills using a 10-key pad

· The ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Must be able to manage multiple tasks, strong attention to detail, establish priorities, work independently, problem solve, and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner

· Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs

· Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work at a computer

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

· Must pass a pre-employment background check

Technology & Software Qualifications

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

· Working knowledge of Windows and proficiency with PC platforms

· Experience with payroll or human resources software preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
