Job Overview
Westminster Academy seeks a qualified, part-time Aftercare and Enrichment Coordinator to work approximately 20 hours a week (2-6pm every week day), beginning in July 2026. This is a 12-month administrative position. The Aftercare and Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing the aftercare, enrichment, and summer camp programs. The applicant must possess a love of students and a passion for mentoring and discipleship. Westminster Academy is committed to teaching all truth as God’s truth through the lens of Scripture and a Christian worldview. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to the same.
The role requires skill in detail-oriented logistics, supervising high school student workers, and an ability to warmly engage a wide age range of students and their parents. Communicating well with students and their families requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a willingness to see each conversation through the lens of a Christian worldview and a culture of grace. The position requires the ability to multi-task and handle interruptions, as well as an appreciation for the uniqueness of each student and family, and a desire to see the glory of God lived out in each child.

The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Development is a minister of the Gospel in all facets of life at Westminster Academy. He/she is a role model for students and faculty and his/her walk with the Lord should be evident. The Christian mission, vision, and statement of faith of the school must guide the Administrative Assistant as he/she interacts with parents, students, faculty, and all those within and outside the Westminster Academy faith community.
The Director will oversee:
- the safety, security, and happiness of students in all aftercare, enrichment, and summer camp programs.
- the safety, security, and cleanliness of the gym complex.
- the hiring and training of program employees: aftercare workers, enrichment contractors, summer camp workers, summer camp contractors, and volunteers.
- the scheduling of aftercare, enrichment, and summer camp activities.
- the budget and payroll of all aftercare, enrichment, and summer camp programs.
- proactive communication with Westminster Academy families and, for summer camp program, the wider Memphis community, with the Marketing Department.
- and the promotion of the school’s classical and Christian mission through aftercare, enrichment, and summer camp programs
Specific Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business department in the hiring of employees
- Ensure adequate training of employees
- Update aftercare, enrichment, and summer camp handbooks annually
- Schedule aftercare workers
- Report payroll to business office weekly
- Communicate with operations for snack purchasing
- Track expenses and income to stay in budget
- Track number of students to plan for workers
- Work with Grammar School to support late students
- Set up student FACTS finance profiles to charge correctly
- Set up the FACTS childcare zones and calendar for correct billing
- Understand the Child Care function and reporting in FACTS
- Charge family FACTS accounts every two weeks for aftercare services used
- Cover childcare duties when needed
- Oversee daily cleaning
- Periodically evaluate books, games, and materials to replace or augment, as needed
- Communicate with parents to arrange for care
- Maintain current certification in first aid/CPR
- Communicate with parents in case of injury or behavior incident
- Manage discipline when there has been a behavior incident
- Get feedback from parents and students in order to improve the program
- Manage the aftercare website; take pictures and upload to Vidigami
Specific Responsibilities as: the Director of Enrichment:
- Identify types of enrichments to bring to the school; work with contractors to determine payment strategy, minimum and maximum capacity, and training in emergency procedures
- Identify categories of student to target for enrichments (for example, we need to improve enrichments offered to 1-2 boys)
- Plan a schedule that limits conflicts between enrichments and other school activities (e.g., athletics, string lessons, etc.)
- Work with the marketing department for a print and distribution campaign of enrichment opportunities
- Manage student enrollment in enrichments using Google Forms and FACTS
- Coordinate the pick-up and transfer of students from school to enrichments
- Oversight and evaluation of contractors
- Report contractor pay to business office
Specific Responsibilities as: the Director of Summer Camp:
As a Christian school sponsoring summer camps, all Westminster Academy camps will have a spiritually enriching and nurturing atmosphere. Devotions, a time with the Lord, is an integral part of every camp. Additionally:
- Identify types of summer camp programs to bring to the school; work with contractors to determine payment strategy, minimum and maximum capacity, and training in emergency procedures
- Identify audiences outside of Westminster Academy to target
- Plan a schedule that limits conflicts between summer camp programs
- Work with the marketing department for a print and distribution campaign of summer camp opportunities
- Manage student enrollment in summer camps using School Site
- Coordinate scheduling with RBC
- Manage the summer camp website; take pictures and upload to Vidigami
- Work with the business office to determine procedures for proper reporting of payments
- Report employee payroll and contractor pay to business office
- Ensure smooth communication between contractors and parents
- Lead daily devotional for contractors who are not believers
- Manage camp employees
- Obtain parent and employee feedback
- Oversee daily cleaning
- Maintain DOE requirements for Summer Camp Director, as necessary (may have only been required under COVID)
Pay: $18,000.00 - $20,000.00 per year
