Paint Operator & Machine Operator

Brembo North America | Homer, Michigan

Starting wage: $18.35/hour and up, plus shift premiums

Brembo North America, the world's leading brake manufacturer, is hiring Paint Operators and Machine Operators at our Homer, Michigan facility. Join a team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement while producing industry-leading braking components for the automotive market.

Responsibilities

Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding manufacturing environment
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards
Perform quality inspections using gauges and measuring equipment
Read, understand, and interpret gauge readings and inspection results
Read and understand basic blueprints and work instructions
Meet daily production, quality, and scrap reduction goals
Operate manufacturing and production equipment safely and efficiently
Troubleshoot routine production issues and make basic machine adjustments as trained
Ensure equipment, tools, and gauges are available, operational, and used properly

Machine Operator Duties May Include:

Stock removal verification and wear offset adjustments
Straddle tool setup
Chatter pin replacement
Speeds and feeds verification on CNC equipment
Touching off drill bodies
Changing drills and balance collets
Chucks indication
Automation sensor maintenance
Conveyor guide rail and part stop adjustments

Paint Operator Duties May Include:

Operating automated paint and coating equipment
Monitoring paint application quality and thickness requirements
Performing quality inspections and documenting results
Maintaining paint line cleanliness and equipment performance
Assisting with changeovers and routine adjustments
Supporting scrap reduction and continuous improvement activities

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and production equipment
Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and follow safety procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting
Ability to work any shift, including overtime as needed
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Reliable transportation to and from the Homer facility

Preferred

Manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience
Experience using measuring tools and gauges
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Forklift experience (a plus)
