The Sales Floor Associate helps create a clean, organized, and fully stocked travel plaza while providing exceptional guest service. This position supports stocking, receiving, merchandising, inventory, and sales floor operations while helping ensure guests have an outstanding shopping experience. Team members work throughout the store and assist wherever needed to support smooth daily operations.
- Greet every guest with a friendly and helpful attitude.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service.
- Assist guests in locating merchandise and answering product questions.
- Maintain a welcoming and guest-ready environment.
- Provide the highest level of guest service to both guests and team members.
- Stock shelves, coolers, displays, and promotional areas.
- Maintain proper product rotation and merchandise presentation.
- Build and replenish promotional and seasonal displays.
- Assist with pricing, labeling, signage, and merchandising projects.
- Keep aisles, shelves, coolers, and displays clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Remove damaged, expired, or recalled merchandise according to company procedures.
- Receive, unload, and organize merchandise deliveries.
- Move merchandise to appropriate storage, staging, and sales floor locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate out-of-stock items to store leadership.
- Assist with inventory counts and other inventory control activities.
- Follow company merchandise and inventory protection standards.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the sales floor, coolers, stockrooms, and other work areas.
- Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, ladders, and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Properly dispose of trash, cardboard, and recyclable materials.
- Work safely and remain aware of guests, coworkers, equipment, and surroundings.
- Assist other departments as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail, convenience store, grocery, warehouse, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to provide exceptional guest service.
- Previous experience in retail, convenience store, grocery, merchandising, stocking, or inventory operations.
- Experience safely operating material handling equipment.
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, reach, kneel, squat, climb, and twist.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Receive, unload, move, and stock merchandise.
- Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, ladders, and other material handling equipment.
- Work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas.
- Work safely in and around guests, coworkers, equipment, and delivery areas.
