Overview

Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily residential communities! In this energetic role, you will be the vital link between residents, vendors, and property owners, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach will help maintain property value, foster positive tenant relationships, and support the overall success of our community. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in property management while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Duties

Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination
Support lease or rental agreement management, ensuring all documentation complies with Fair Housing regulations and legal standards
Utilize Doorloop property management to maintain accurate records of resident information, rent payments, and service requests
Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in person to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Contribute to conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and fostering positive community relations
Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting using property management software
Coordinate property maintenance activities and oversee facilities management to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment

Experience

2 years Proven experience in real estate administrative roles or property management within multifamily communities
Familiarity with property management tools such as Doorloop, Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 housing programs, and LIHTC compliance standards
Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations through negotiation and conflict resolution
Office experience including data entry, filing, contract management, and Microsoft Office suite proficiency
Demonstrated ability to manage lease agreements, rental contracts, and client relationships effectively
Experience with property leasing, upselling amenities or units, and client communication strategies to enhance occupancy rates
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently
Bi-lingual Preferred
