Job Overview
We are seeking candidates with strong hands‑on experience in oil, gas, pipeline, or other industrial field environments who can apply their operational knowledge within the Contract Operations Representative (COR) role. Applicants with backgrounds in operations, maintenance, safety, inspection, or other field-based roles are encouraged to apply. This position is an operations-focused field position, responsible for representing our customers during contractor work activities and ensuring work is executed safely, within approved scope, and in accordance with established procedures and permits. CORs are expected to bring strong operational experience and practical hazard awareness developed through hands-on work in oil, gas, or pipeline environments.
Field Operations & Oversight
Serve as the on-site company representative during contractor activities at pipelines, facilities, ROWs, and related assets.
Monitor contractor compliance with approved Job Plans, procedures, and permit conditions.
Maintain control of work scope and ensure changes are identified, evaluated, and addressed before work continues.
Maintain daily communication with Operations, Engineering, or Construction management regarding work progress, conditions, and concerns.
Permit & Work Control
Issue, monitor, and close Safe Work Permits within authorized COR limits.
Monitor and close out transferred Safe Work Permits as assigned.
Ensure permit conditions and required controls remain valid throughout the work.
Suspend or stop work when conditions change, controls fail, or hazards are not adequately managed.
Field Coordination & Meetings
Participate in project pre-job meetings and understand the approved Job Plan or procedures prior to work execution.
Coordinate and conduct daily Field Tailgate Safety Meetings focused on actual site conditions and task hazards.
Act as the coordination point between contractors, operations, and support personnel in the field.
Hazard Recognition & Monitoring
Confirm atmospheric monitoring performance in accordance with permit requirements and site procedures.
Recognize operational hazards including pressure, hydrocarbons, energized equipment, excavation risks, and environmental conditions.
Initiate appropriate response actions when unsafe conditions are identified.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate daily activity reporting.
Manage required documentation in client and third-party systems (e.g., ISNetworld).
Ensure assigned training, qualifications, and authorizations remain current and compliant.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years oil, gas, or pipeline field experience other relevant industrial environments. Basic safety or military experience strongly desired.
- Strong operational and contractor oversight background
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to work onshore and offshore
- Ability to complete required COR and job-specific training
- Knowledge and understanding of basic safety protocols and risk mitigation necessary. Strong work availability and work ethic required.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying potential risks and implementing solutions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
