Position Overview
As a Remote Tax Manager, you will manage end-to-end tax compliance and delivery, ensuring the meticulous preparation and review of crucial tax forms including 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1041. You will conduct advanced technical tax research, analyze complex tax law shifts, and execute proactive tax planning and consulting strategies tailored specifically for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and closely held businesses. Additionally, you will coordinate multi-state tax compliance, navigate nexus analysis, and integrate tax considerations seamlessly with internal accounting, audit, and advisory teams.
This leadership position places a strong emphasis on managing a distributed workforce. You will lead, coach, and mentor a remote team of tax professionals, overseeing workflow management, rigorous quality control, and the continuous improvement of remote tax processes, checklists, and templates. Serving as a primary client contact, you will translate complex tax topics into clear, actionable advice while leveraging major tax software and research platforms like UltraTax, Lacerte, CCH, or Thomson Reuters/Checkpoint, alongside accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
