Opportunity Overview

Autism Care Therapy is opening a brand-new ABA therapy center in the Jersey Village / Cypress area of Houston, and we are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Director (BCBA) to lead our clinical team and help build a center known for clinical excellence.

This is a unique opportunity for a BCBA who wants more than just another job. The Clinical Director will play a key leadership role in shaping the culture, clinical standards, team development, and long-term success of a growing center from the ground up.

Our vision is to become one of the leading ABA providers in Northwest Houston by delivering exceptional clinical outcomes, supporting our team members, and building meaningful relationships with the families we serve.

The Clinical Director will oversee treatment quality, supervise clinical staff, mentor team members, and support the growth of the center while maintaining the highest standards of ethical and evidence-based care. Additional BCBAs will be added as the center grows, creating future leadership and mentorship opportunities.

This position is ideal for an experienced BCBA who enjoys leadership, team development, family engagement, and the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up.

Core Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight

Lead the clinical launch and ongoing oversight of the ABA center.
Build, manage, and scale a sustainable client caseload while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based ABA services.
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including:
ABLLS-R
VB-MAPP
Vineland-3
Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans.
Monitor client progress and modify treatment programs based on clinical data.
Ensure medically necessary supervision, parent training, and BCBA oversight in accordance with BACB and payer requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers including Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), physicians, psychologists, and other professionals.

Team Leadership & Development

Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to RBTs, Lead RBTs, interns, and future BCBAs.
Lead onboarding, training, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive, supportive, and accountability-driven clinical culture.
Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting clinical team members as the center grows.
Support retention and professional growth of clinical staff.

Center Operations & Growth

Partner with ownership and administrative staff on operational planning, staffing, scheduling, and center growth initiatives.
Assist with insurance authorizations, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
Monitor key clinical and operational metrics, including:
Client outcomes
Billable utilization
Supervision compliance
Staff development
Center productivity
Support family tours, intake meetings, and community outreach efforts.
Help establish Autism Care Therapy as a trusted provider within the local community.

Qualifications

Required

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
Current state licensure, if required by state regulations.
Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BCBA.
Current CPR and BLS certification.
Strong knowledge of ABA principles, treatment planning, skill acquisition, and behavior reduction strategies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to actively engage with clients, including sitting on the floor, moving throughout the clinic, and lifting up to 40 pounds when necessary.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Preferred

Previous Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, Lead BCBA, or supervisory experience.
Experience launching, growing, or supporting an ABA center.
Experience supervising multiple RBTs and mentoring BCBAs.
