Full Job Description

Job Title: Marketing and Client Relations Manager

Company: Apex Event Rentals

Job Summary

Apex is seeking an energetic, creative, and highly self-motivated Marketing and Client Relations Manager to lead our digital presence, content creation, and vendor/client relationship management. In this role, you will be the dynamic face and voice of Apex—capturing content at live events, running our social media and marketing channels, and nurturing long-term relationships with event planners, venues, vendors, and past clients. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who takes complete ownership of their role, consistently executes all required tasks, and actively works to grow the Apex brand without needing constant supervision or micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media & Content Creation

Instagram Management:
Maintain a daily presence by publishing 1 post and 1 story per day.
Attend live events to capture high-quality photos and videos.
Collect IG handles, tag venues, planners, and relevant vendors in all posts and stories.
Proactively send posts/stories to relevant vendors who may generate referral business.
Film, edit, and post engaging video content (e.g., event coverage, equipment showcases, "Get Ready With Me," and "Day in the Life" series).
TikTok Management:
Publish 1 post per day.
Attend events to capture content, as well as film, edit, and post videos showcasing equipment, behind-the-scenes moments, and event highlights.
YouTube Management:
Manage and optimize the Apex YouTube channel for visibility and growth.
Film, edit, and upload long-form content (e.g., full event recaps, behind-the-scenes vlogs, setup walkthroughs, and equipment deep dives).
Repurpose short-form event clips into YouTube Shorts to maximize reach.
Write engaging video titles, descriptions, and tags, and design eye-catching custom thumbnails.

2. Digital Presence & Content Marketing

Google Business Profile: Add new photos/videos regularly, collect reviews, and respond to customer reviews in a timely, professional manner.
Website & Blog: Write and publish 2 blog posts per month and keep the website gallery updated with recent event photos, videos, and detailed descriptions.
Email & SMS Marketing: Draft and distribute 1 monthly email newsletter and 1 monthly text message marketing campaign targeted at planners, venues, vendors, and past clients.

3. Networking & Vendor Relations

Attend industry networking events to meet and connect with venues, event planners, and strategic partners.
Reach out to new or inactive planners and venues on Instagram, sharing relevant portfolio work to foster future collaboration.
Follow up with new planners after completing events to build ongoing relationships, connect on social channels, and schedule meetings for future opportunities.
Build and maintain warm relationships with referring planners, venues, and vendors—including remembering birthdays, checking in periodically, and sending holiday greetings.

4. Client Experience & Post-Event Follow-Up

Reach out to past clients post-event to ensure complete satisfaction.
Request 5-star reviews and follow up on pending review requests.
Maintain regular contact with past clients via follow-up emails and texts to encourage re-bookings and referrals.

Requirements & Qualifications

High Degree of Self-Motivation & Autonomy: Exceptional ability to work independently, manage your own time, and consistently complete all daily/monthly responsibilities without requiring constant supervision or micromanagement. Drive to actively contribute to the growth and success of Apex.
Proven experience managing professional social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) with a strong portfolio of short-form and long-form video editing ("GRWM," reels, YouTube Shorts, event recaps).
Experience with photo/video capture using modern mobile devices or camera gear.
Strong interpersonal and networking skills; comfortable engaging with venues, event planners, and vendors both online and in person.
Experience with basic email/SMS marketing tools and blogging platforms.
Highly organized with an eye for detail (remembering key dates, client preferences, and vendor contacts).
Willingness to work flexible hours to attend live events and networking functions.
