JOB TITLE: Contract Therapist -Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA)

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director

Contract Therapist – Texas Medicaid Behavioral Health

Evolve Outreach of Texas is a growing behavioral health organization dedicated to providing quality community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Texas. We partner with Texas Medicaid and multiple Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) to deliver recovery-focused behavioral health services that promote stability, independence, and long-term wellness.

We are currently contracted with:

Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP)
Texas Children’s Health Plan
Molina Healthcare
Superior HealthPlan
UnitedHealthcare Community Plan
Additional Texas Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)

Position

Evolve Outreach of Texas is seeking compassionate and motivated Contract Therapists (LPHA) to provide therapy services to Medicaid clients in community, school, home, telehealth, and outpatient settings throughout Houston Texas.

Candidates must already be credentialed and eligible to bill with TMHP and Texas Medicaid MCOs.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, family, and group therapy services
Complete behavioral health assessments and treatment planning
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid and MCO standards
Develop and update recovery and treatment plans
Collaborate with QMHPs, case managers, physicians, hospitals, schools, and community providers
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
Support crisis intervention and continuity of care services as needed
Ensure compliance with Texas Medicaid, TMHP, and MCO requirements
Maintain productivity and documentation standards

Population Served

Children and adolescents
Adults with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED)
Adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
LOC 2 and LOC 3 Medicaid populations

Minimum Qualifications

Active Texas license as one of the following:
LPC
LCSW
LMFT
Licensed Psychologist
Must qualify as an LPHA under Texas Medicaid standards
Must already be credentialed with TMHP and Texas Medicaid MCOs
Experience with Medicaid behavioral health documentation and compliance
Strong communication and organizational skills
Reliable transportation for community-based services

Preferred Experience

Community mental health
Child and adolescent therapy
Crisis intervention
Medicaid behavioral health services
Experience working with Texas Medicaid Managed Care Organizations
Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation systems
