Full Job Description

Construction Supervisor – Generator Installation (Data Center)

Location: Prince George, British Columbia

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee the installation of modular generator systems at a large-scale data center project in Prince George, British Columbia. This is a field supervision role only—all physical installation work will be performed by the client's onsite installation contractor (Tyrod). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule, and serving as the primary onsite representative for TDG Energy Services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned supervisor with experience in industrial construction, power generation, or large equipment installation.

Responsibilities

Provide daily onsite supervision for modular generator installation activities.

Coordinate installation sequencing with the client's installation crews, subcontractors, electricians, rigging teams, and crane operators.

Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.

Enforce all site safety requirements and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, CSA standards, and applicable Canadian construction and electrical codes.

Coordinate closely with TDG Energy Services project management regarding scheduling, installation progress, commissioning readiness, and punch list completion.

Track daily progress, labor activities, equipment deliveries, and site logistics.

Oversee equipment offloading, staging, crane operations, and material coordination for the remote project location.

Perform quality inspections in accordance with TDG's Generator Assembly and Quality Control standards.

Serve as the primary onsite point of contact between TDG Energy Services and the client (IREN).

Identify and communicate schedule risks, field conflicts, scope changes, or other issues impacting project execution.

Prepare daily reports documenting manpower, progress, safety observations, and project status.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience.

Experience with generator (genset) installations, industrial mechanical/electrical construction, power generation, or modular construction strongly preferred.

Experience coordinating heavy equipment, crane operations, and rigging activities is highly desirable.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and interface with U.S.-based project management.

Ability to read construction drawings, installation plans, and project schedules.

Willingness to work onsite in Prince George, British Columbia for the duration of the project.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Clean criminal background.

WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid, or other Canadian safety certifications are considered an asset.
