Build Real-World Experience
As a Jr. Help Desk Technician, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies while supporting employees across the organization. You'll work alongside experienced IT professionals who will help you develop technical troubleshooting, customer support, networking, and systems administration skills.
Whether your long-term goal is Systems Administration, Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud Technologies, or IT Management, this role provides a strong foundation for future growth.
What You’ll Do:

Responding to help desk tickets, phone calls, emails, and chat requests

Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and basic network issues
-
Creating, modifying, and managing user accounts within Active Directory
-
Configuring and deploying laptops, desktops, and office phones
-
Installing software applications and performing routine system updates
-
Assisting with onboarding and offboarding technical setup for employees
-
Assisting with day-to-day security tasks, including MFA enrollment support, triaging user-reported phishing emails, and escalating suspicious activity to the security team

Escalating complex issues to senior IT team members when appropriate

Documenting support activities and solutions to improve knowledge sharing

Delivering excellent customer service while communicating technical concepts in a clear and professional manner

Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications

Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts

Strong attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field

Recent graduate or up to one year of relevant experience through internships, part-time roles, technical support positions, or customer service roles
Preferred
-
Internship experience in IT support, help desk, networking, or systems administration
-
Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (MS-900, AZ-900, SC-900, or similar) preferred
-
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification preferred

Experience working with Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or ticketing systems

Physical Demands:
Work involves standing, talking, hearing, using hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reaching with hands and arms. Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment; and ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
