Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Regional Nurse Consultant (RN) to provide expert clinical guidance and support across multiple healthcare facilities within our network. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing experience, a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, and strong leadership capabilities. As a Regional Nurse Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, enhancing patient care quality, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to influence clinical practices on a regional scale while maintaining a focus on regulatory adherence and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff across various facilities, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care and safety.
Conduct regular assessments of facility compliance with state healthcare regulations, HIPAA standards, and long-term care regulations.
Support facility management in implementing quality improvement programs aimed at elevating patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Facilitate training sessions on medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management, and medical terminology to promote accurate record-keeping and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with facility leadership to develop policies that align with federal and state healthcare laws, including HIPAA privacy rules and long-term care regulations.
Assist in the review and analysis of medical records and data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process enhancements.
Provide oversight for nursing management activities, including clinical supervision, staff education, and performance evaluations.
Promote a culture of continuous learning by staying current on developments in physiology knowledge, anatomy, acute care practices, and healthcare technology innovations.

Experience

Extensive nursing experience within SNF or long-term care settings, demonstrating proficiency in patient care delivery.
Proven management or leadership experience in clinical settings with responsibilities for supervising nursing teams or managing healthcare operations.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems and medical documentation standards.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and acute care procedures essential for effective clinical oversight.
Experience navigating state healthcare regulations, long-term care facility requirements, and regulatory compliance standards such as HIPAA.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data effectively for quality improvement initiatives and operational decision-making.
Prior involvement in training or mentoring nursing staff on best practices for patient care, documentation accuracy, and regulatory adherence.
Long-term care facility experience is highly desirable to ensure comprehensive understanding of industry-specific regulations and workflows.
