Full Job Description

For 15+ years we have been serving the Greater Houston community. Our interventional pain management practice is now seeking a board certified / board eligible pain medicine and interventional pain management specialist for an immediate opening.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions, as well as a strong commitment to improving our patients’ quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate, diagnose, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
Utilize a multidisciplinary approach, coordinating with other healthcare professionals (e.g., surgeons, physical therapists, psychologists, and primary care physicians) to provide comprehensive care.
Prescribe, administer, and manage medications and interventions as needed, while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
Perform interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and implantable devices, in accordance with best practices and clinical guidelines.
Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including self-care techniques, coping mechanisms, and lifestyle modifications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Participate in continuing education opportunities and stay current on advancements in pain management techniques and research.
Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient care and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our pain management program.

Requirements:

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Pain Medicine or Anesthesiology with a subspecialty in Pain Management.
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 or more years’ experience in interventional pain management in a private practice setting.
Experience with interventional pain management techniques, such as spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, and intrathecal drug delivery systems.

Qualifications:

Board Certified / Board Eligible Anesthesiologist or PM&R Specialist
Completed / completing fellowship in Pain Management / Medicine
Active or Eligible for Texas Medical License
