Full Job Description

Position Summary

We’re seeking a dependable, detail oriented, self-motivated and experienced litigation paralegal with personal injury experience to support our litigation team. This role requires strong follow-through, analytical, writing, and the ability to manage a busy docket with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of deadlines, client communication, and case progress from initial pleadings through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Client Support

Manage litigation deadlines for personal injury docket.
Maintain frequent, professional and empathetic client communication (status updates, medical treatment, document collection, scheduling and gather relevant information).
Request and track medical records, lost wage documentation, and non-economic damages.
Coordinate treatment updates, and lien information (e.g., providers, subrogation, health insurance).

Litigation Support

Draft and proofread pleadings, discovery responses, motions and correspondence with attention to detail and accuracy.
Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw and other legal research tools to support litigation strategies.
Manage, review and e-filing in Texas and Federal courts and maintain litigation calendars including triggers to ensure timely response to deadlines.
Assist attorneys with document review to prepare deposition, medical and discovery summaries.
Coordinate subpoenas, hearings, experts, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
Maintain complete and organized case files (digital + physical as needed).
Effectively communicate with clients, courts, witnesses and external parties.
Perform other litigation-related tasks as needed.

Organization & Workflow Ownership

Maintain accurate case notes in the case management system.
Proactively identify missing documentation and next steps.
Meet deadlines consistently and take initiative to keep cases moving including effective communication with the team.
Assist attorneys with special projects, case strategy support, and workflow improvements.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury litigation.
Familiarity with Texas court rules and procedures.
Strong knowledge of PI processes: pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, motions, demands, trial and litigation support.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working independently and proactively following up on tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and PDF tools.
Familiarity with legal calendaring systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Texas personal injury litigation.
Familiarity with Casepeer case management software.
Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
Paralegal certificate or Associate’s degree (preferred, not required).
Litigation experience: discovery, depositions, mediation, motions, scheduling orders, and trial preparation.
