Assistant Manager (Affordable Housing Lease-Up)

Location: Houston, TX 77067

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team for an exciting affordable housing lease-up community in the Houston (77067) area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service while helping build a successful community from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community.
Process applications, certifications, recertifications, and lease documentation accurately and timely.
Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC and other applicable regulations.
Maintain resident files and ensure all documentation is complete and audit-ready.
Assist with rent collection, posting payments, delinquency follow-up, and reporting.
Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents.
Coordinate with leasing, maintenance, and corporate teams to ensure successful lease-up goals are achieved.
Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Assistant Property Manager experience required.
Affordable housing experience is required (LIHTC experience strongly preferred).
Lease-up experience is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with property management software is preferred.
Ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team player.
Positive attitude, dependable, and willing to support the team wherever needed.
