What You'll Do

Own the Financial Close: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring flawless GAAP-compliant financial statements and journal entries.
Master Real Estate Accounting: Manage property-level revenues/expenses, depreciation, rent rolls, tenant recoveries, and capital expenditures.
Drive Compliance & Lender Relations: Prepare accurate covenant calculations and manage lender reporting requirements with ease.
Collaborate & Influence: Partner with third-party property managers, asset managers, joint venture partners, and external auditors to streamline operations and resolve discrepancies.
Innovate & Improve: Enhance internal controls, mentor junior accounting staff, and champion automation to boost team efficiency.

What You Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Advanced degree or CPA is a major plus!).
Experience: 3-5+ years of solid accounting experience, specifically focused on real estate accounting or property-level reporting.
Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of US GAAP, lease accounting, and tenant reimbursements.
Tech Stack: Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with major ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, Oracle NetSuite).
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities like a pro in a deadline-driven setting.
