Overview

Join our dynamic IT support team as a Help Desk / IT Support specialist and become the first line of assistance for our organization's technology needs! This energetic role offers the opportunity to troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues, ensuring seamless operations across various platforms and devices. You'll be instrumental in maintaining our IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and enhancing overall system performance. Duties

Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or remote access, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
Troubleshoot software problems across operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring optimal performance.
Manage computer hardware setups, upgrades, and repairs to keep systems running smoothly.
Assist with network administration tasks such as configuring VPNs, firewalls, DNS settings, LAN/WAN connectivity, and TCP/IP protocols.
Support desktop support functions by installing software applications like Microsoft Office and managing user accounts through Active Directory.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components including servers (Windows Server), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), and BMC Remedy for ticketing and incident management.
Collaborate with team members using tools like ServiceNow and Jira to track issues, document solutions, and improve service delivery.
Support mobile devices and ensure secure access via VPNs and firewall configurations while adhering to best practices in network security.

Skills

Proven experience providing technical support and troubleshooting software or hardware issues efficiently.
Strong knowledge of computer management including operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Familiarity with computer networking concepts like LAN/WAN, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and network administration tools such as Meraki equipment.
Proficiency in managing Microsoft Office applications and understanding of Active Directory for user account management.
Experience with IT support tools including SCCM for system management and ServiceNow or Jira for incident tracking.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems quickly and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical users.
Excellent customer service skills combined with strong communication skills to ensure user satisfaction.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including servers (Windows Server), network devices, mobile devices, and security protocols.
