This is not a volume firm. We do not measure ourselves by how many files we open. We take a small number of serious cases for people who have been hurt and need someone in their corner — and we pour everything into them. We big try cases. Sometimes on a moment's notice.

If you have ten years of fixed trial-paralegal habits, this is probably not your fit. We are not hiring for a résumé. We are hiring for the person — sharp, organized, caring, and ready to learn our way of doing things.

Some of the best people we have ever worked with came from restaurants, not law firms. They knew how to stay calm in a rush, track twelve things at once, and treat people well under pressure. We can teach the legal work. We are hiring for the heart and the head.

Who we are

Moye Law Firm is a small, elite plaintiff trial firm. We deliberately keep our caseload low so that every client gets extraordinary focus, preparation, and care. We are not chasing volume. We are chasing the best possible outcome for people who have been seriously hurt — and we win by being more prepared than the other side, every time.

That last point matters for you. We are building a small in-house team to run client experience and case support with real care. This role is a foundational seat on that team. You will not be a cog in a hundred-person machine. You will be one of the few people we trust to keep our cases moving.

What you'll do

This is a litigation-support role — classic, foundational legal work that keeps cases healthy from intake through resolution. Day to day, you will:

Order, track, and organize medical records and bills
Stay on top of clients who are still treating — checking in, updating status, and keeping them cared for and informed
Assist with basic written discovery
Handle e-filing and court deadlines
Keep case files clean, current, and organized
Take administrative work off our attorneys so they can focus on the cases

Our lawyers already use modern tools and do a lot of their own work. We need someone to own the administrative engine so nothing slips.

What we're looking for

Relentlessly detail-oriented. You catch the thing other people miss. Dates, names, deadlines, records — you track all of it.
Organized and self-directed. This is largely remote. You manage your own day and your own work without someone standing over you.
A strong, warm communicator. You write clearly. You follow up. Clients feel taken care of when they hear from you.
Driven by meaning, not just tasks. You want your work to matter. You take pride in helping a client through one of the hardest seasons of their life.
A technology enthusiast. You are comfortable learning new software fast — and you like getting good at it. We invest in great tools and want someone who will master them.
A fast learner who wants to be coached. You will be trained and mentored — not thrown in and left to sink.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Many of our clients speak Spanish, and we want them cared for in their own language.

2 to 4 years paralegal experience is desired. If you are smart, dependable, and care about doing things right, we will train you.

How we work (please read before applying)

This role is largely remote, so a few things are non-negotiable:

We communicate often and clearly. You stay responsive during business hours.
We use modern case-management and communication tools, and we adopt new technology as it earns its place. You learn it quickly and use it well.
We hand work off cleanly and we do not let things fall through the cracks.
This role is largely remote, but you may be asked to come into the office from time to time for training, team meetings, or key moments on a case. For that reason, we give preference to applicants in the Houston area.
