Full Job Description

Overview
Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager, where your energy and organizational skills will drive exceptional resident experiences and operational excellence. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day management of residential properties, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, maintaining property standards, and fostering positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create vibrant communities that residents are proud to call home.

Duties

Assist in managing leasing activities, including property tours, application processing, and lease signing to maximize occupancy and revenue.
Support property maintenance coordination by scheduling repairs, overseeing vendor interactions, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Maintain accurate data entry within property management systems such as Yardi and OneSite, including resident information, payment records, and service requests.
Ensure all legal requirements are met through diligent record-keeping and administrative oversight.
Handle customer service inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy, resolving issues promptly to enhance resident satisfaction.
Assist in preparing legal documents, contracts, notices, and other administrative paperwork while adhering to legal administrative standards.
Support conflict management efforts by mediating resident concerns and facilitating effective communication between tenants and management staff.
Contribute to facilities management tasks such as coordinating property inspections, overseeing property maintenance schedules, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Experience

Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
Familiarity with property management software for data entry and reporting.
Bilingual is preferred, to assist non-English-speaking clients, colleagues, or communities, and your language skills are highly valued to help bridge communication gaps.
Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on conflict resolution and relationship building.
Office experience involving filing, data entry, contract preparation, and general administrative support.
Knowledge of property maintenance procedures, facilities management practices, and basic CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) operations is a plus.
Strong negotiation skills for lease renewals or upselling additional services to residents.
Excellent phone etiquette combined with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
