Full Job Description

Global Law firm is seeking a Senior Billing Coordinator to join their Houston, Texas office location. Billing experience within a faced paced and high-volume law firm environment is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

Senior Billing Coordinator will interface with clients, attorneys, and administrative staff regarding billing matters.
Analyze, process and compile a high volume of attorney bills to clients monthly.
Edit and review pre-bills in response to attorney requests
Successfully apply retainer/on-account funds as directed by attorney and as per company policy
Successfully process write-offs according to company guidelines and policy
Ability to execute complex bills, such as multiple discounts by matter, split party billing, and preparation of electronic bills, in a timely matter
Handle submitting invoices electronically, assisting with bill resolution as required
Successfully review billing supporting documentation for accuracy
Verify and research descriptions, amounts, rates, client/matter data and client billing requirements and make appropriate corrections
Successfully create billing schedules and various billing analyses as required
Interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries and clients providing accurate information and timely responses to inquiry and completion of assignments
Senior Billing Coordinator will distribute monthly partner reports
Update and review comments for reports distributed to partners and the finance committee
Senior Billing coordinator will attend weekly management meetings and partner meetings to review unbilled matter comments, matter on-accounts, and e-billing issues
Senior Billing coordinator will work cooperatively with Collections staff and assist with accounts receivable issues to minimize credit balances
Train and mentor new Billing Coordinators as directed
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

4-5 plus years of Billing experience within a faced paced and high-volume law firm environment.
Elite 3E software or Aderant experience; familiarity with E-Billing hub and multi-currency
Billing experience within a faced paced and high-volume law firm environment is a requirement.
Ability to use accounting calculator
High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Microsoft office suite, particularly in Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills, proactive and results orientated
Ability to deal with all levels of firm personnel and client contacts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong ability to work independently
Effectively meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
Strong financial oriented background

Salary range $80,000-$100,000 based on experience. Bonus and OT eligible.
