Full Job Description

We have an opportunity as an insurance agent with one of the fastest growing personal lines (think home and auto) insurance agencies in Texas, TGS Insurance, located in Houston, servicing all of Texas as well as five other states.

We provide three things everyone is looking for in a job. Money. Stability. Culture.

1. Our average Sales Agent has made over $45/hour last quarter. Top agent made more than double that. Our top new agent with less than 4 months experience made over $65/hr last month. There's real money here.

2. Our average Sales Agent has over 4 years of experience with the company. The company has been in business for 30 years, in insurance for over 9 years. TGS Insurance is growing by over 30% year-over-year for each of the last 5 years. We are a national Top100 agency on our own, and now a subsidiary of one of the very largest insurance organizations in the world. People like working here.

Our office is in a beautiful high-rise tower in the Energy Corridor, off I-10. It is safe, clean, with secure garage parking, restaurants, and a free full on-site gym. Insurance is a financial services job and is an amazing long-term industry. While no business or industry is guaranteed; if you own a home, you must have home insurance, if you drive a car, you must have auto insurance.

***** THIS IS THE KEY***** Unlike most insurance jobs where you generate your own sales, we bring high-quality leads to you. Our internal marketing team creates a relentless flow of high-closing home and auto insurance leads. You don’t cold call, you don’t have to sell your friends and family, or any of those old school sales tactics. We bring legit people to you who absolutely must have the product you are selling; you solve their problem, we all win.

We teach the insurance business, the methodology, you just bring effort, energy, and enthusiasm to do what is best for the client. We do not require any industry experience.

Some Requirements:

Clean Background
Stable work history
Must be able to obtain Property and Casualty Insurance license (we teach the test)
Customer Service or Sales experience preferred but not required
Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
Computer proficiency – must be versed in common systems like outlook, and internet browsers. Agents must be fast at navigating many windows, operating 3 screens on their work stations. If you struggle to navigate systems, you will not succeed here.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with a sense of urgency
Ability to build rapport with clients and provide an exceptional customer experience
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with co-workers from all levels of the organization
Must be able to work on-site at our facility I-10/Kirkwood (At home work is available for established agents)
Continued employment in this position will be contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining required agency credentials with state agencies as well as insurance carriers

Post-training transitions to base rate plus uncapped commission structure

Schedule is 5-days. 40 hours. M-F, no weekends. No OT needed to make this $
401K with matching plan.
