Job Summary

Victory Transportation is seeking an experienced, hands-on Manager, People & Culture to lead and continuously improve all aspects of our people operations. This individual will serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO, COO, and leadership team while building scalable people processes that support our continued growth.

This role requires previous experience in transportation, trucking, manufacturing, or construction.

This role is responsible for the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, leadership development, compliance, employee engagement, and culture.
This is not a traditional HR administrator role. We are looking for a builder who enjoys creating systems, improving processes, developing leaders, and helping create an exceptional employee experience while ensuring operational excellence.

What Success Looks Like

· Build a scalable recruiting process for corporate and operational hiring.

· Improve onboarding and employee productivity.

· Standardize performance management and manager coaching.

· Implement HR dashboards and recruiting metrics.

· Improve employee engagement and retention.

· Develop leadership training.

· Ensure compliance and scalable HR processes.

· Become a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team.

Primary ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

· Lead recruiting from workforce planning through onboarding.

· Develop recruiting strategies.

· Manage ATS, interviews, offers, background checks and onboarding.

· Improve candidate experience.

· Monitor recruiting metrics.

Employee Experience & Culture

· Champion company culture and values.

· Lead engagement and recognition initiatives.

· Conduct employee surveys.

· Facilitate orientation.

· Support internal communications.

Leadership Development

· Coach managers.

· Develop leadership training.

· Support succession planning.

· Build high-performing teams.

Performance Management

· Lead performance review process.

· Coach managers on goals and feedback.

· Support performance improvement.

HR Operations

· Process payroll.

· Administer benefits.

· Manage PTO, leave, workers' compensation and HRIS.

· Maintain confidential employee records.

Compliance & Risk Management

· Maintain employment law compliance.

· Manage handbook, policies and SOPs.

· Conduct investigations.

· Partner with employment counsel.

Organizational Development

· Support organizational design.

· Workforce planning.

· Job descriptions.

· Career paths.

· Compensation planning.

· Change management.

HR Technology & Analytics

· Optimize HRIS and ATS.

· Develop dashboards.

· Report key workforce metrics.

Executive Partnership

· Partner with the CEO, COO and leadership team to build organizational capability, improve leadership effectiveness, strengthen accountability, support strategic planning and build scalable people systems.

Qualifications

· 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.

· Experience in transportation, trucking, manufacturing, or construction is required.

· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

· Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

· Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and applicant tracking systems.

· Demonstrated success building HR infrastructure in a growing organization.

· Excellent communication and coaching skills.

· Strong employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigative skills.

· Demonstrated ability to advise leadership and make sound Human Resources decisions in complex or sensitive situations.

· Ability to exercise sound judgment while maintaining confidentiality.

· Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
