Full Job Description

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. Provides early childhood intervention services including ongoing assessment of child development and physical therapy services to infants and toddlers 0-3 years old and their families.

Your role in action:

Provides physical therapy services according to the Individual Family Service Plan
Provides written ongoing assessment of child’s development and physical therapy progress every 6 months
Documents every contact and attempts to contact families electronically
Submits electronic documentation according to Agency policy
Meets requirements to comply with ECI procedural safeguards and confidentiality
Meets ECI and Agency required training policies
Meets requirements to renew certified Physical Therapist Assistants license
Meets PTA supervision as directed by physical therapist licensing board

What qualifications will you need:

Education:

High School diploma or General Education diploma (GED).
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

Experience:

Experience working with children birth to three {3} years of age preferred

Other Key qualifications:

Licensed by State of TX as a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant
Must have valid TX drivers license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The person must have well developed interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills and be a team player with a desire to provide a high level of customer service.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively at all levels within the organizations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
Cooperative and willing to assist others.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
