Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiograms and dopplers. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced sonography techniques to produce detailed images of the heart and vascular structures, aiding in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality patient care within a fast-paced, state-of-the-art medical environment. This position offers 1-2 days a week of 9-3 schedule. Tech is paid by each study performed.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic and transesophageal imaging, to assess cardiac function and anatomy.
Conduct vascular ultrasound imaging to evaluate blood flow, vessel structure, and detect abnormalities.
Assist with cardiac stress tests and monitor vital signs throughout testing procedures.
Operate sophisticated medical equipment such as ultrasound machines, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), and other diagnostic devices with precision.
Analyze cardiac rhythms and perform cardiac diagnostics, including rhythm analysis and interpretation of imaging results.
Support interventional radiology and catheterization procedures by providing real-time imaging guidance within the cath lab environment.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques during invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety and infection control standards are upheld.
Document all findings accurately in patient records, ensuring clear communication for the medical team.
Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive diagnostic evaluations in diverse settings, including Level I Trauma Centers or emergency medicine units.

Skills

Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and cardiovascular technology principles.
Skilled in vascular ultrasound imaging and diagnostic evaluation of cardiovascular conditions.
Understanding of medical terminology and technical operation of echo machine.
Ability to interpret complex cardiac diagnostics, including rhythm analysis and echocardiography results.
Familiarity with PACS systems for image storage, retrieval, and sharing across healthcare networks.
