Full Job Description

Safety & Training Coordinator

We are a global industry leader providing temporary temperature and humidity control solutions across multiple industries, including construction, industrial, and water damage restoration.

We are seeking an organized, hands-on Safety & Training Coordinator to manage and administer our employee safety and training programs. This position will play a key role in ensuring new hires receive the training they need to work safely and successfully while helping maintain ongoing compliance with company, OSHA, and DOT requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys training employees, coordinating safety programs, and keeping compliance requirements organized and on track.

About the Role

The Safety & Training Coordinator will oversee the administration and coordination of new-hire safety training, recurring employee training, certifications, and compliance documentation.

You will work closely with managers and employees across multiple locations to ensure required training is completed, properly documented, and kept current.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and administer new-hire safety orientation and training
Manage required OSHA, DOT, and company safety training
Maintain employee training records, certifications, expiration dates, and compliance documentation
Track required refresher and recurring training and communicate upcoming deadlines
Coordinate DOT-related requirements, including driver qualification and safety documentation
Assist with administration of drug and alcohol testing programs, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing
Coordinate with third-party safety, testing, and compliance vendors
Assist managers with identifying employee training needs and scheduling appropriate training
Help develop and update training materials, safety procedures, presentations, and employee resources
Monitor training completion and follow up with employees and supervisors regarding outstanding requirements
Assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks, and other ongoing safety initiatives
Support incident documentation and safety-related corrective actions as needed
Help ensure company safety and training practices remain consistent across locations
Travel periodically to company locations and job sites to conduct or coordinate training

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in safety, training, compliance, or a similar coordinator role
Working knowledge of OSHA workplace safety requirements
Experience administering and tracking employee training programs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple training schedules, certifications, and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable conducting or facilitating training for individuals and groups
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with electronic training or compliance systems
Ability to work independently while coordinating with managers and employees across multiple locations
Ability to travel on occasion.

Preferred Qualifications

DISA experience strongly preferred
DOT compliance strongly preferred
Experience working in an industrial, construction, equipment rental, field service, or manufacturing environment
OSHA 30, or other safety-related certifications
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or electronic training tracking platforms
