Job Summary
Diligent Delivery Systems is seeking an experienced IT Technician in our Houston corporate office. The IT Technician installs, maintains and repairs computer systems, networks and hardware components while providing technical support to users. Core duties involve troubleshooting system errors, setting up workstations, and maintaining network security for locations across our network.
The ideal candidate has a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems with great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. This position plays a key role in providing support for all areas of IT.

This is an in-office position. No remote or hybrid work considerations available.

Key Responsibilities:
· Hardware and Software Setup: Install, configure and update operating systems, software, computers, printers, and routers.
· Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity faults via helpdesk, phone, remote access or in-person visits.
· System Maintenance: Monitor network availability, run data backups, replace damaged parts, and keep logs of repairs.
· Security and Compliance: Ensure network privacy, manage user access, and update anti-virus software.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong understanding of computer systems, security principles, and network infrastructure (LAN/WAN)
· Ability to diagnose and fix complex software and hardware issues quickly.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Goal-oriented, organized team player
· Support users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
· Detect, diagnose and troubleshoot problems related to hardware, software or organizational activities
· In-depth knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
· Detect computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
· Comfortable in a diverse and fast-paced environment
· Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift equipment
Education and Certifications:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
· 5+ years’ experience in similar role is required
· Strong experience in Office365 environments
· Certifications like CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional is a bonus.
