Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide vital support across a broad spectrum of legal areas within the healthcare and medical law sectors. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth operation of legal processes, facilitate case management, and assist attorneys with complex research, drafting, and administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in legal research, document review, and case management will make a meaningful impact on our clients and legal outcomes. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and passionate about advancing their career in the legal field.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive legal research across various medical law disciplines including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and securities law.
Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, discovery requests, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure accurate and efficient record keeping.
Assist attorneys with case preparation by reviewing medical records, insurance documentation, and other pertinent evidence.
Perform document review and proofreading to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with legal standards.
Support litigation processes through data entry, filing, organizing exhibits, and managing deadlines.
Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as part of case development efforts.
Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather relevant case law and statutory information.
Maintain effective communication via phone etiquette with clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless workflow.
Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing reports, and handling correspondence related to legal cases.

Experience

Proven paralegal experience within a law office environment specializing in Insurance defens.
Strong knowledge of multiple legal practice areas including Insurance Litigation, Construction, Personal injury, Trucking and litigation procedures.
Familiarity with legal case management software such as iManage and PCLaw is highly preferred.
Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case development.
Demonstrated experience in document review, drafting contracts or pleadings, proofreading legal documents accurately.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses effectively while maintaining professionalism over the phone or in person.
Background in project management or administrative support within a busy law office setting is advantageous.
