Job Overview
The Multimedia Specialist assists in producing high-quality photo and video content across all Primary Arms divisions, working closely with the Multimedia Photography Supervisor (MPS) and the broader Creative, Web Content, and Social Media teams. This role supports the full production pipeline — from planning and execution through post-production and digital asset management — under the direction of the Multimedia Photography Supervisor, across product photography, studio lifestyle, and outdoor lifestyle content that supports brand and marketing goals. While this role covers both photo and video, it is more heavily concentrated in videography.
This is a full-time position with daytime hours. Some non-standard work shifts, offsite shoots, and local or long-distance travel may be required. PORTFOLIO REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Works closely with the Multimedia Photography Supervisor, Creative Team, Web Content Team, Social Media Team, and other Multimedia Team members to develop high-quality video and photo content for marketing campaigns, the e-commerce site, catalogs, advertising, content emails, social media, and general company needs across all Primary Arms divisions
- Films, edits, and produces video content for social media, YouTube, advertising platforms, and instructional purposes — a principal responsibility of this role
- Assists with the full production pipeline for assigned projects — from planning and shot-list creation through execution, post-production, and final delivery — under the guidance of the Multimedia Photography Supervisor
- Creates shot lists for studio, product, and outdoor/lifestyle photo and video shoots
- Follows brand guidelines, the photo brand manual, and category standards
- Maintains a content production calendar and ensures on-time delivery
- Sets up assigned photoshoots, in studio and/or on location, ensuring accurate and efficient execution
- Sets up product shots, including selecting props, styling, and lighting
- Produces high-quality, multiple views of each product for e-commerce and marketing use
- Creates studio and lifestyle imagery showcasing newly released products, including optics, in relevant use-case contexts
- Delivers processed photo and video assets ready for use, editing quickly to meet tight turnarounds
- Reshoots images or footage as necessary
- Assists in coordinating the personnel needed for photoshoots and production days
- Maintains and organizes the digital assets library (e.g., NetSuite, Canto) and ensures talent releases stay up to date
- Oversees studio organization, maintenance, and logistics, ensuring efficient use of equipment and resources
- Assists with social media live events as assigned
- Ensures proper clothing and safety equipment are used on shoots, and that attire appearing on camera is clean, wrinkle-free, and appropriate
- Provides feedback to help develop strategies for meeting future photo and video demands
- Stays up to date on videography and photography equipment, software, and technology
- Other duties, as assigned within the Primary Arms team
Skills and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom; familiarity with other Adobe programs a plus
- Working knowledge of video editing and demonstrated editing ability preferred.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, digital asset management systems (e.g., NetSuite, Canto)
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented, highly reliable, and efficient
- Able to positively handle last-minute requests
- Hard-working, dedicated, and focused on achieving results
- Able to work well independently and under pressure, while remaining highly responsive to internal customers
- Works well in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Able to work in extreme temperatures and outdoor conditions
- Able to bend, lift, twist, crawl, climb, lay down, and move quickly to capture the right shot
- Comfortable handling, and being photographed or filmed near, firearms of all types
- Local and long-distance travel for photo and video shoots required
- Professional and pleasant demeanor; dependable with a high degree of productivity
- Able to maintain a high level of accuracy
