Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)

Location: Southeast Houston, TX Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Nights, Weekends, or Major Holidays

Join Our Team!

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Southeast Houston area. This position is ideal for an RN who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to surgical patients.
Assist with patient assessments, education, and discharge planning.
Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards.
Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

Current Texas RN license in good standing.
BLS and ACLS certifications required (or ability to obtain within designated timeframe).
Minimum of 2 years of perioperative, PACU, Pre-Op, OR, or ASC experience preferred.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an AAAHC or Medicare-certified Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Knowledge of QUAD A (AAAASF) accreditation standards and regulatory requirements strongly preferred.
Experience with quality assurance, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
