Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager specializing in Property Management to join our team. In this role, you will oversee daily property operations, ensure compliance with housing regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service to residents and stakeholders. Your energetic approach will drive property performance, foster positive tenant relationships, and support the overall success of our property portfolio. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead with enthusiasm while managing administrative and operational tasks efficiently.

Duties

Coordinate leasing activities, including property tours, tenant screening, and lease signing, with a focus on upselling available units and amenities.
Manage property maintenance requests by liaising with facilities management teams and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Administer rent collection processes, including data entry into property management systems like Yardi or OneSite, and enforce late payment policies.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards.
Prepare and review lease agreements, contracts, and legal documents while maintaining meticulous filing and record-keeping practices.
Handle conflict management by mediating tenant disputes professionally and maintaining positive customer relationships through excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Oversee property inspections, safety protocols, and facilities management to uphold high standards of property maintenance and tenant satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law.
Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and legal administrative procedures.
Excellent customer service skills complemented by negotiation abilities and conflict resolution expertise.
Office experience including data entry, filing, contract review, and administrative support functions.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling contracts, legal documents, and compliance documentation.
