Full Job Description

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Worker’s Compensation Administrator to join our team. The Workers’ Compensation Administrator is responsible for the routine insurance claims work of the department.

Your Role in Action:

Performs routine, technical, and administrative insurance work in support of the Commercial Insurance Program.
Performs work in support of workers’ compensation claims, communicating with claimants and other case-related contacts to ensure property and efficient processing of cases.
May also support auto, cyber-security, general, professional, crime, and property claims programs.
Delivers superior customer service and satisfaction through effective interactions with claimants, managers, vendors, and others.
Takes new claim reports, manages claims, and assists claimants through the claims process, requesting medical records, insurance information, and other relevant information for case preparation.
Locates and develops relevant case information, ensuring all tasks and documentation are appropriately stored and updated in legal files system.
Promptly notifies the Director of any reports of possible fraudulent activity.
Works with the Director in support of injured workers, to help restore employees’ health and well-being after a work-related injury.
Responds to calls and queries from internal and external providers, claimants, and insurance companies.
Sends and receives proper data to and from carriers, vendors, and other sources for prompt resolution of claims.
Researches and reviews claims to meet guidelines concerning appropriate documentation for claims Processing
Authorizes routine medical treatment and drug/alcohol screens and runs Motor Vehicle Record reports.
Works with Director on Safety and Risk Management projects.
Provides reports of injury and accident records to the Director
Performs other related duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

High School Diploma or General Education diploma.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years' experience in worker’s compensation and/or loss prevention required.
The desired candidate for this position will have a background in reviewing and processing workers’ compensation claims. Experience in a fast-paced office environment, legal office, or a working knowledge of discovery and case preparation a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Able to multi-task along with proven time management and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
Able to use Microsoft products to maintain data and generate reports.
